ASBL CEO Ajitesh Korupolu Wins Growth Leader of the Year at CW Awards 2026

ASBL CEO Ajitesh Korupolu has won Growth Leader of the Year at the Construction Week India Awards 2026. Discover how his data-driven approach and vision of “Civilization Tech” are shaping his perspective on real estate.

Hyderabad-based real estate developer Ajitesh Korupolu, CEO of ASBL, has been awarded Growth Leader of the Year at the Construction Week India Awards 2026, recognising his approach to building a real estate company driven by data, technology and a deeper understanding of how people live.

Korupolu’s approach to real estate begins long before a building is designed, with a focus on understanding the people who will eventually live in it. From determining what a home should offer to planning the spaces surrounding it, he believes every decision should address a fundamental question: whether it will improve everyday life for the people who use it.

While much of the real estate industry has traditionally relied on experience, market intuition and gut feeling, Korupolu chose to build ASBL around data and research. Recognising that real estate was one of the most data-poor industries, he understood that establishing a strong data foundation would take time. However, he believed the investment would create a long-term advantage. Today, data and research form part of ASBL’s decision-making process across the lifecycle of a project.

Under his leadership, ASBL has been developed to operate more like a technology company, using technology to understand customers, improve decision-making and simplify the home-buying and home-owning journey. This approach extends from the initial stages of research and design through construction and continues after handover.

Korupolu’s vision of a home also extends beyond four walls. Homes today need to accommodate work, children, family time and everyday convenience. This requires developers to look beyond individual apartments and consider the spaces residents use, their interactions with their surroundings and the communities they become part of. This philosophy underpins his belief in building communities rather than just buildings.

Korupolu is working to digitise one of the oldest and most data-poor industries in the world. He does not view this effort simply through the lens of PropTech or Construction Tech, which he considers too narrow to capture the full scope of the transformation he envisions. His thinking extends beyond individual buildings to the broader systems that shape urban life.

In his view, cities function as interconnected systems in which homes, roads, workplaces and people depend on one another. When these systems do not function effectively, people lose time in traffic, families experience greater pressure and everyday life becomes more difficult. He believes technology should help improve how this entire system is planned and built, describing this broader concept as “Civilization Tech”.

The Growth Leader of the Year recognition reflects this wider approach to business growth. For Korupolu, growth is not limited to selling more homes or developing more projects. It also involves building a company that understands its customers better, makes more informed decisions and applies data and technology to improve the way homes and communities are created.

Under Korupolu’s leadership, ASBL continues to follow the principle that homes should be designed around the people who live in them. Its focus extends beyond creating apartments to developing places where people can live, work, spend time with their families and build connections.

The award recognises this approach and Korupolu’s efforts to bring a more data-driven, technology-led perspective to Indian real estate, with an emphasis on improving not only individual homes but also the communities and urban systems that shape everyday life.
